    We can manage our stress and keep it at the optimum level using different combinations of stress busting tactics.
    • The Workout:
      What stresses you out? An unreasonable client, an impossible deadline, a house full of screaming children, a date that hasn’t turned up?
      We all get stressed by events and people at different times. Equally, if we had a life without any of these stresses we would find it pretty dull.
      Stress busters are ways of reducing excessive levels of short-term stress so they don’t affect our health or our performance.
      We all have some favorite approaches that work for us. This Workout helps extend our armory of stress-reducing techniques so we have some new ones to try in the situations where our current counter stress measures don’t seem to be quite powerful enough.
      When things are getting too much, what are you going to call on? Stress busters. Naturally.
       
    • At the end of this Workout you will have:
      • Discovered the most successful strategies for dealing with short-term stress
      • Uncovered which ones you tend to use and which ones you could consider using more.
      • Practiced identifying possible strategies to reduce your stress.
      • Learnt some practical techniques for instant.

    Get what you want from life by choosing to think optimistically, spotting opportunities and taking responsibility.
    • The Workout
      Some people have all the luck. Do you want to be one of them?
      Odd though it may seem, most lucky people have chosen to be that way. And the benefits they get as a result are surprisingly diverse, from achieving more in their careers and increasing their resilience to being better at motivating others and living longer, healthier lives.
      This doesn’t mean that lucky people live in a mythical ‘happy’ bubble where everything is fantastic. They are often remarkably aware with excellent judgment. What being lucky does call for is knowing when and how to adopt an optimistic outlook and when to wear the pessimist’s hat. It also requires us to take responsibility for ourselves and constantly be on the lookout for opportunities.
      Discovering how to create your own luck won’t guarantee rolling a double-six or being dealt the Ace of Spades, but it will give you more control, more energy and a clear advantage over people who haven’t yet discovered the magic of flexible optimism.
